It’s so nice to explore something new and awesome! Take a look at Verdaccio, local npm private registry with zero configuration. With this option, you don’t have to install and replicate an entire database.
Long story short.
Verdaccio is a fork of Sinopia (a private/caching npm repository server). It aims to keep backwards compatibility with Sinopia, while keeping up with npm changes. Verdaccio keeps its own small database and, if a package doesn’t exist there, it asks any other registry for it keeping only those packages you use.
