Thanks! I believe the best way to learn tmux is to learn what it can do with minimal config.
I used a lot of custom config as well when I started. Turned out that more than half of the configs that I used I didn't even need them - other times I found that I preferred the native behavior. That's why I believe one should customize tmux only after exposure of what tmux is truly capable of.
And yeah, I use one server 95% of the time too. I must be really careful when I add another server because it could get chaotic, fast! But it's always good to know that tmux can use multiple servers.
