Since biases are a human problem, mathematics is always a way to debias them. That's why using the model-based forecasting is considered a valid way to debias estimations.
As we know from racist AI all algorithms and formulas can only be as un-biased as their creator.

You're right, since models are made by humans, they can be biased too. That's a good point!
