Yes, unfortunately, eOS its based on Ubuntu and they also prefer a more 'stable' distro approach, but sometimes that means not receiving some GNOME3 updates related to performance and stuff ... They are still using the X11 window manager and from the last time I checked it was causing some memory leaks with GNOME :(

I will definitely try KDE Neon ... I hear a lot of people saying how KDE has evolved and I am curious to give it a try! Don't know If I will be able to live without my native desktop planner app tho ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

I know, I understand that eOS really holds it's user very tightly and it's so user friendly no one wants to switch to other distro but ya, we only finds the best after experiments ๐Ÿ˜‰.
