I have been blogging for a month now...

I started to write on dev.to on Nov 1,2020 and got a fairly good amount of views and reactions on my posts.

My real inspiration was Flavio copes who said that, every developer must have a blog and must share their journey with the dev community which in turn help them become more experienced in what they do

Now here I am with my own blog and my personal portfolio done, thanks to him I have reached a small place in the dev community.

Within a month, a recruiter from a company in my state in India, contacted me stating that they had a react native job opening in their firm and would like to schedule an interview for a full time react-native developer job.

I would have easily cleared it, as the interview was to be in my native speaking language and I know the concepts of React Native really well.

But I couldn't attend that, because I am a freshmen in college and it will take 4 years for me to graduate to go for a fulltime job which is a norm in India.

Still it was a wonderful feeling to atleast get a chance at the age 19 for a full time position as a react native developer.

Having an internet/social media presence for developers is crucial in this digital world and I would urge my fellow developers to go to LinkedIn and get their account up and running and create a blog for themselves.

You could see, with just having a social media presence in LinkedIn and writing consistently on dev.to for a month -- have opened a lot of doors for me.

Thanks guys for motivating and supporting me to write consistently in dev.to.

Your valuable comments were a big boost for me in my previous posts.

If you have anything to say about my posts and works please let me know in the comments.

Thank you!

If you are getting that level of attention now, absolutely keep at it. If you can build your experience and presence online, as well as demonstrating a solid understanding of core concepts, you'll unlock a lot of doors.

Thank you Gary. India has a lot of developers, but lacks good amount of developers. If you know what are you doing in India, you will treated really well by employers here.

React is a very demanding language here and I am well versed in it. The only barrier to me and a job here in India is my age.

Some places in the UK would hold you back to. Me? I just want people on my teams willing and able to do the job. Half of my team don't have degrees or formal software qualifications

Yes sir. But here in India there is acute shortage of react.js developers and people are in a race to find developers for react atleast in my state in my country.
In UK as you said nope.

Hey this is a great reflection on your first month of writing consistently! I just published my first post on dev.to today. It is something I've been wanting to do for all the reasons you mentioned in this article. But I've never taken the time to actually do it until now. I like how you have your recent articles on your portfolio site. Thats a good idea, I should incorporate that in mine. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your valuable comment.
I made it with React.js and axios. If you want one I can make one for you!!!

I used dev.to api with axios.get to get that url and mapped it to produce a card like component with CSS grid.
