I’m Olivier, software engineer mostly doing stuff with cloud and APIs (developing backends, designing APIs and distributed architectures, doing API management...). The languages I know the most are java and go.
Also having fun by developing plugins for Unity3d on my free time.

Welcome to DEV Olivier! I've looked at Unity3d in the past for some fun with side projects, but the learning curve seemed steep. Are you able to do what you want to without doing it full time? How long did it take you to learn? Thanks!
I've been using unity for 6 years but that was a slow learning process. My advice: instead of trying to understand the whole tool, just focus on a little simple project (like a small game) and... do it :) You won't do it in an efficient way but you'll learn a lot by doing so.
