It's been a while since I last posted - things have been pretty busy on my end. At the beginning of this year, I joined the new, fully-remote, startup team at Shipyard and I wanted to show off what we've been working on for the past few months.
To quote our landing page tagline, we're working on something to:
In essence, we're building a robust, serverless platform that lets you run code in the cloud with zero devops effort and zero extra configuration - just as if you were running them locally.
The platform can support almost any solution built with Python or Bash - right now we're focusing on eliminating friction for building out data pipelines and data quality assurance.
For some additional context, we've posted about getting started with Shipyard and Great Expectations as well as some pitfalls you might run into building your data platform on a serverless option like AWS Lambda.
Right now, we're in a closed beta with no cost to users so if you've got a cool or interesting data set or problem you'd like to tinker with on Shipyard, let us know! Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get you started.
