Typesense is an open-source, typo tolerant search engine optimized for instant sub-50ms searches while providing an intuitive developer experience. You can compare Typesense to Algolia or Ealsticsearch in terms of functionality. But unlike those services, Typesense is free and open-source.
Typesense, like any other similar service in the marketplace, lets you build performant, robust search functionalities into your application. It's written in C++ and can run on any platform. Typesense comes as pre-built binaries as well as an OCI compliant image.
Typesense by architecture is platform-agnostic. So you can use it with any programming language or framework. In this tutorial, you'll learn about using Typesense with your PHP applications. I'll use a Laravel application as an example, but you can use any PHP codebase as long as you know what you're doing.
