Thanks! Do you happen to know of it's lightweight? Because I've heard ubuntu is pretty heavy with gnome. So, for a laptop with 8gb of ram, I'm not sure if it is going to be convenient, specially because I do use a lot of things simultaneously sometimes.
pop os also uses gnome as it's desktop environment so, i dont think there's that much difference but that's just my opinion a little research might prove me wrong.
I would say manjaro objectively is the best linux distro.

Manjaro is Arch based I think, so it might be a good idea to use it.
yes manjaro is indeed arch based and much more friendlier than arch itself, Ive used both and I recommend both. download some images and try them on virtualbox play around a bit see which one you'll like
