I like math and am good at it, and when I want to write code, I don't know how to use mathematics to solve problems. Please share your opinion with us!

I have a degree in Applied Mathematics, and while I've rarely used it, thinking in terms of functions and sets really helps my programming.
I have found my high school English classes, which focused on writing, to be the most critical portion of my career. But perhaps my education in mathematics helped make some stuff easier.
