Installing Firefox, Brave, and Vivaldi on Chrome OS

Installing Firefox

First, make sure you have flatpak installed if you don't learn how to in my tutorial here https://dev.to/eduardfaus/installing-flatpak-on-chrome-os-3bpj

Once you've done that type the following things in the terminal

1. Making sure everything is up to date

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

2. Install Firefox

sudo flatpak --user install flathub org.mozilla.firefox

3.Enjoy

Firefox is now installed as a normal app

Installing Vivaldi

1. Visit Website

Go to https://vivaldi.com/download/

2. Download Deb

Download the .deb file by clicking on the green arrow and choosing linux deb

3. Install On Chromebook

Right click the file in the file manager and click Install with Linux (beta)

4. Enoy

Vivaldi is installed as a normal Chromebook app so enjoy

Installing Brave

Type The Following things in the terminal

1. Making sure everything is up to date

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

2. Install The Tools We Need To Download it

sudo apt install apt-transport-https curl

3. Curl Brave

curl -s https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-core.asc | sudo apt-key --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/brave-browser-release.gpg add -

4. Add brave to apt repositories

echo "deb [arch=amd64] https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/ stable main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release.list

5. Update apt with the new repository

sudo apt update

6. Install Brave

sudo apt install brave-browser

7.Enjoy

Brave is now installed as a normal app
