Your post is mostly about how to survive and not get fired in shitty organization. Most of the practices you describe are non professional and you tell the story of how you become a complice by mimicking the environment.

I had been in the same kind of organization and in week 1 of working there I knew I had to quit. Not because I would get fired, but because it made me depress that I could not fix that mess (code and organization wise).

That was the point were I was like: Seriously? this guy call himself CTO and this developers seniors? I can do better than that and create a healthy environment.... and I did, I quit and went for a solo developer in a early stage startup and cared about every detail I could and formed a team that was happy to work with me... now I'm CTO...

New developers in my team sometimes they come from shitty organizations and they have to go through a rehab process in the first months when they are hired so they write proper code again... At the end everybody is happy that we care about quality and we are as fast today as I was in day one.
