- Saturday : Got the front page working for the most part of my new side project. Did some laundry. Then next thing I knew it was time for the radio show. The first one of the year! Of course, as it has become tradition, I started the show off with Mad Skillz Rap Up. This year, it's called "Throw It In The Trash (The 2020 Rap Up)". Sunday : Continued working on my side project. Think I figured out how I want to handle the Progressive Web App side. Finally finished watching "Legion". The ending was pretty good. Oh and I also watched the new "Dr. Who" episode. Been so long since the last episode, I almost forgot what happened. It was a good episode. There's a new show on BBC, forgot the name, but it looked cool. I have it sitting in my DVR ready to be watched. A co-worker suggested that I should apply to a program before I went on break. It seemed like the program's website also went on break because they weren't accepting applications on the site till the 4th. Cool. I went to check on it before going to be and it was open for submissions. So I basically stayed up late filling out the form. hahaha Hope it made sense, I was pretty tired. We'll see.
Professional : First day back at work from holidays. Started off with participating in a live stream. Always have fun doing that. Finished with the stream and found out that Slack went down. Continued working on some documentation. Once Slack was back up, I helped out (hopefully) on an issue in our community Slack. The original poster is in another timezone so I'll check back to see if I helped resolve the issue. Had a meeting with my manager. Went well. Talked about what I'll be working on for the next couple of weeks.
Personal : So yeah, I filled out that application last night. Pretty indepth stuff. There was a biography section. I really don't like talking about myself, so that took a minute. Then there were parts where you can add and talk about projects you've worked on. I've got a bunch so that wasn't too bad. Then there was a section for content I've created. Good thing I had some recordings of talks and presentations I have given. Plus I had all the articles I wrote for the job. Now, I guess we'll see if I get a reply with the next steps.
Just ate some food and pretty full. I want to go to sleep. haha Found a bug with the new project I'm working on. It's for the best because I didn't want to do it the way it is set up now. So, the way I wanted to set it up originally may fix the issue I'm having. Going to give it a shot and then maybe watch that new show on BBC. I want to try and go to bed earlier this year.
