And there is a equivalent on Linux of the command for the notification on Mac, it's notify-send "Title" "Message"
Anything that runs a notification manager (like dunst for instance)!
Ubuntu have one if I remember well, I would need someone running an Ubuntu system to test out, as I don't have one near :/
