I have published my very first freeCodeCamp article titled "The Docker Handbook". It's an huge article with enough content to take someone from 0 to 1 in Docker.

Also, I've just redesigned my farhan.info with TailwindCSS. It is a big deal to me as I don't consider myself as that much of a front-end guy.

I very recently started writing here, and my third post did a lot better than I thought. My first post got about 40 views, my second was slightly less at 33. Then I posted my third post and went to bed, I woke up to a couple hundred, and it didn't stop, almost at 2k views now😲

My wife finished her final round of surgery (3) for her gallbladder removal. She has been fighting strong for nearly 2 months, It's great to see her finally getting back on her feet.

I also got the GitHub Arctic Code Vault Contributor badge! It's such an honor to be a part of this history.

I learned how to use Netlify for deploying some of my projects and learned how to use Eleventy in a basic fashion. That concluded with making this template to contribute to and OSS project.

So now I'm a happy camper 😄

Felt a lot better physically this week instead of last week! No to getting sick 🙅‍♀️

So far, my personal website Tech Up Your Life this month has already beaten my previous record for most monthly pageviews. That was a pretty nice win. I also created a Raspberry Pi podcasting station which I used to record and edit my latest podcast episode and that was quite fun and functional.

Last Wednesday I picked up my degree in Software Engineering after 6 years of struggle and hard work. 🥳🥳🥳

My last post passed 10k views this week, which is so far beyond my wildest expectations it's honestly unbelievable 😯

That plus I baked a pretty awesome banana bread 😂

A lot of great things happened to me this week :)
I watched DEVdiscuss episodes and shared it on twitter and got retweeted by @thepracticaldev
Also received a Dev shop coupon for DevDiscuss Sticker Pack 🥰

Set a simple GitHub Profile README where I can showcase all of my current works in a bunch of shields.

After what feels like an age (hint: it has been an age in the Internet time), I've got an actual website up and running, as an adjunct to the application.

The plan had been to push forward with the public sharing in the application and use that to publish pages to build a website. But the simple fact is it would foolish to think I could replicate a fraction of what WordPress does in a few weeks or months…

Lesson learned. Progress made.

Figuring out why it was that, even though I was using a common docker file to do it, my resultant Red Hat images were double the size of my CentOS images. And, in the end, not only did I reduce the size of my Red Hat image, I further reduced the size of my CentOS image.

...Was doing the above because, while the project I'm on refuses to enable the CI features of their internal git-service, they don't ban me from using local containers to do manual versions of the kinds CI activities I've become used to on other projects.

Finally got out of the management mode and back into the development stream. Closed 3 bugs myself and got 3 code reviews for others done.

Can do more code on Monday before the management side of my role kicks in again

On Monday, I accepted an offer for my first job in tech! 😱
I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, to be honest!

Convinced a coworker to write a small script in plain js instead of importing jQuery.

I got to a dozen Go tutorial videos created so far.

Next week i'm starting a job that doesn't require me to know JavaScript to do design work. This is important because I will probably be old enough to retire before I learn JavaScript.

I can finally use my work machine again. I had to change the OS from Manjaro to Debian but everything is working well so far (except neovim, I miss the floating windows).

Completed a coding challenge while being recorded, which is a BIG win for this introvert.

I deployed my online portfolio to live yesterday 😀😀😀 lorna.dev Super proud!! I used Angular 9 and Firebase. My motivation has only gotten x1000 🚀✅✅ Now onto the next project!!

Publishished my first post here and two other posts

I was nominated as a Ruby on Rails Thinker of the Year on Hackernoon's Noonies 2020.

I submitted the last assignment for my MSc in Data Science, finally completing a (psychologically) looooong semester. Now only the dissertation remains! 😁

It's my birthday this weekend! Not a win yet, but we're close enough right? 🥳

Successfully converted our data tables from using react griddle to using material-table, and also moved into a new place this week. 😁

The combined effects of Thursday (finishing a major UI overhaul 100%) and Friday (fixing all critical and important bugs) for my first ever large-scale web app felt SUPER satisfying!
