Joking aside, this was a very interesting article. I've never been able to really get into rails and the main reason is probably it's cult-like community and the unhealthy obsession ruby programmers seem to have with it.
The extent to which rails pollutes the global environment is a complete joke. When programmers have trouble programming plain ruby because they constantly need to look up whether one method or another is a ruby or a rails feature, you know something's seriously wrong.
