It's sad that there are projects that can't deal with PHP 7. I wonder if 7.4 will be another version that runs legacy software for ages. Hopefully there's more stuff written for PHP 7 that was well crafted and can easily be updated for 8 than there was for PHP 5. I mean, there were 11 years between 5.0 and 7.0. Also seeing the problems involved in migrating legacy code, a reasonable person would invest in better design and less vendor locks...
