Finally an honest article on a career in technology.
I am a woman and I feel like you at the beginning of this article: confused and insecure.
When I started working as a self-taught developer, I was so passionate and had a lot of career expectations. Then, company after company, I lost all my passion, sometimes I cried for mean colleagues, and this job became just "get another ticket where someone else wrote what needs to be done", then wait for the end of the day to finally move on to your new hobby. I know I still want a career in the industry, I have tried to change paths but the entry position seems only available to underpaid graduates, so I am not really progressing anywhere. I'm just stuck here where I am, looking for inspiration? I still don't know.
