I earned a job after 3 months of graduating as a SDE for Rails applications.
We focused on JS and Ruby exclusively.
Worked with node/express/mongodb and Rails.
I feel I didn't learn the underside of coding. I learned how to use code. I learned how to read documentation. I learned how to swim... Which has helped me as I've worked on two ten year old code bases with wildly talented folks.
I needed more algorithm prep (I knew nothing about white boarding or algorithms. I didn't know you should nest loops).
I have since learned, but for what you pay (13k+)...it'd be nice to have that.
