Not really on topic, but we've pretty much embraced it fully now. A big part of this has been TypeScript, which is another open source product we've put out. TypeScript allowed people to scale JavaScript to the size of projects we run and it also gives you the benefits of enhanced tooling. One of the biggest obstacles for Java/C#/C++ developers was always that writing JavaScript feels very different and rudimentary. You don't get the code insights, you don't get automatic refactoring and similar conveniences. With TypeScript you got it - and it is written in JavaScript, so everybody wins.
