3) Probably the most important point for me: I have full control over my accounts. When signing up with an email address, there is no way for me to track which accounts I still have open. I may have forgotten about a service I used several years ago, and it might suddenly get hacked without my knowledge. With OAuth, there is a centralized location where I can see all 3rd-party applications, and revoke access as I see fit. I try to go through all my OAuth dashboards at least once a year and remove access to applications I no longer use, just to be safe.
