My name is Cassiano Simas. I'm majoring for information systems at the Federal University of Rio Grande(Brazil). I'm taking my first baby steps towards software development and data analysis. At the moment I'm researching the NetCDF (unidata.ucar.edu).
I'm currently struggling on learning C, Python, Java and R for implementing the common data file in order to facilitate the creation of new nc files for the scientific community as well as backing up old physical archives of research into nc files.
This is the first time I've ever felt truly motivated to start working on a big project though I see that I still have a long journey to become a good, decent(maybe an expert) programmer. This is how I ended up here, I'm searching for mentors and guidance to keep growing as a developer and a researcher.
