Lots of people here mention CSS-in-JS as though it is a new language. CSS-in-JS is still CSS, there is still cascading, inheritance and everything else you know (and don't) with CSS. CSS-in-JS solves some specific issues with CSS, but there is no getting around the fact that you have to know CSS to write good styling
