I also find it interesting since what you describe is a totally different path than it was for me to become a full-stack dev.
I have had very strong confidence since a young age and as well as a strong curiosity. And that has probably been incredible help! I became fullstack because of need more than wants.
I never felt fear for failure, more like acceptance that a failure is an option and that I couldn't care less what my peers would think because someone had to do it.
The fear I felt was mostly that whatever we where building, it would not be as good as I made up in my mind. Like, I never hesitated that we would succeed, but that the product might not be what we want it to be. And that I just can't stand not knowing how something works and how I can make it work better. :)
