Have you ever felt like no matter how much you scroll on Netflix or Hulu you just can't seem to find a movie you feel like watching?
Lately, I've had a hard time picking something to watch and ultimately I started to wonder if there were even any good movies on any site.
I decided to take a look data for movies on streaming sites as well as their Rotten Tomato score to try and see what movies might actually be worth the time (below): https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/ruchi798/movies-on-netflix-prime-video-hulu-and-disney
Here are some of my findings: https://github.com/benjaminybai/Blogpost2/blob/main/Untitled.ipynb
While Amazon Prime had the most movie offerings (both SVOD and PPV On Demand), they also had the lowest quality in general.
Surprisingly to me, Hulu beat out Disney+ in terms of average Rotten Tomato score, and the evidence seems to suggest that if you are looking for a high quality movie and don't want to scroll through too much "content filler", Hulu is the right app to use.
