I recently enjoyed digging back into Rust and loved it. It has a pretty expressive type system that lets you convey a lot about the problem you're working on. Support for macros and generics are super nice. I also enjoyed using Cargo.
My first interaction with Rust was in this excellent tutorial by Matt Brubeck back in 2014 called "Let's build a browser engine!" (I hope someone tries to update it!). Perhaps a good future post for someone on dev.to? ;)
