This is awesome! It's cool to see a similar "pain point" being addressed with different solutions. I've already got a few ideas kicking around that I might want to try out with Logic Apps.

cc @jessicagarson and also @yechielk who had a similar idea with @AlterSideBot on Twitter

Lol, born out of Twitter's restriction on username lengths that didn't allow @AlternateSideBot

Really fun read and cool project. Logic Apps seem so useful and powerful for building workflows. Can one build an own 'Connector' (just thinking about how could this be piped into existing systems)? Thanks.

Yes you can! Right now custom connectors become limited to only your environment so it isn't general purpose to the world. If you are an API provider of a public service I believe there is a way to start the conversations to be a public provider, but you must be the owner of the service (meaning I couldn't create one for Facebook, for example...Facebook would have to create it -- if I wanted it to be public). More details here on Custom connectors: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connector...

Great read! Came across this post while I was searching on how people are solving parking issues with no code solutions.

I encountered a co-working space parking dilemma some months back and solved the same with a custom nocode app built. Recipe used- DronaHQ, Zapier & Slack.

We have limited parking spots and to ensure every employee gets a fair chance at parking and to be able to plan their commute without worries.. I built this app. Took me few days to build it. Had shared my story here.

Tim, absolutely love this write-up, it’s on my personal learning list to dive in deeper on Azure functions and other related tech this year, so I appreciate your remix!

Aweseom Andy, thanks! Logic Apps are a 'fun' way to just mess around (we have one with our friend who takes lots of food pictures to automatically spam his text messages when he does this). Check out the #azureapril tag for some other ways to get started on Azure topics...and shout if you need help or have any questions!
