Is it better to be strongly opinionated in software development than to take everything case by case?

What do you think? Is it better to be strongly opinionated in software development?

I think you shouldn't be so opinionated that you don't see new opportunities, new solutions or you are just a pain to collaborate with. But I do appreciate people with a vision, and I think you need to be somewhat opinionated to achieve something and get somewhere. There's usually more than 1 way to do something, but at some point you need to make a decision and then stick with it and execute it well.

This is just my opinion. But depending on the complexity and scope of the project. I would have to be strongly opinionated so that there is a unification and have standards in a project.
