Hey Dev.to community, This is the very first post I am writing on the platform, it's also the Day 1 of #100daysOfCode challenge which I am going to undertake.
I am learning to program from last 4 months and have a relatively well understanding of HTML, CSS, and JS.
Upto this day, I have very few small projects under my belt.
And I am going to seriously elevate my skills, experience and projects through this 100 days of code series.
And since I am documenting my entire journey here, It will always help beginners as a roadmap to decide what your ideal next step should be.
Enough introduction, let's move to work.
Recently, I discovered a website frontendmentor.io where you can choose front-end projects as per your skills and interest and submit solutions.
Currently I have chosen a NEWBIE project called Profile card component.
You can see the solution I made in the image below.
I have not finished the project yet. The Desktop version requires some changes and Mobile version is yet to be started.
It's a simple project but still were some things which I got to learn from this project.
Putting 2 backgrounds in an image and adjusting them to match the final solution was something which I had never worked before.
Rest of the part was more or less routine.
What I have learnt in my small journey of programming is that practice matters more than tutorials.
To become a better programmer, you have to constantly build projects. It will teach you how to think as a programmer.
That's it for today. I will see you guys tomorrow on Day 2.
