Mainly, that we all come from societies where privacy did not exist (small villages). Privacy is a modern concept that has quickly outlived itself. Right now, we really don't have much privacy anyway. There is constant oversight by government and corporates. It is what it is. Why not admit it and at least be open about the lack of privacy?
