Why do we so hold to our illusory privacy? I don't agree with every single argument here but I think Hugh Howey makes some great points hughhowey.com/the-end-of-privacy-a...

Mainly, that we all come from societies where privacy did not exist (small villages). Privacy is a modern concept that has quickly outlived itself. Right now, we really don't have much privacy anyway. There is constant oversight by government and corporates. It is what it is. Why not admit it and at least be open about the lack of privacy?
