I'm an aspiring data scientist with 2-3 years of experience in Python and R. I'm here to learn more about software engineering principles, connect with like-minded people in the data science space, and just have a good time connecting with you all.
I love video games (hacker slasher games and RPGs are my favorites), podcasts (I'm currently binging Armchair Expert), and standup comedy acts (Dave Chappelle is my current go-to). I also write weekly data science articles @ towardsdatascience.com
Currently, I'm very much interested in Internet privacy and the role that algorithms play in our day-to-day lives (from deciding if we get a job to determining if we would have a good time with another person). I'm reading "Weapons of Math Destruction" by Cathy O'Neil and I'd definitely recommend the book to anyone with similar interests. (If books bore you, then I'd recommend watching 'The Social Dilemma', which you can stream on Netflix).
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you guys. Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to chat.
