I think there's one on this site too, when you sign up it asks you what topics you want to follow with none of them pre-selected so you select whatever you want and continue. Then it asks you for people you want to follow with ALL 50 options pre-selected. You don't notice this and continue, boom you're following 50 random people already.

Interesting! I'll have to check that out again. I have been unfollowing people from all the notifications I've been receiving so that's probably why.
