Yes, I am a PHP developer, but I also use Python from time to time. My reason isn't about language preference, it's about opportunity.
Wordpress powers 1/3 of the web. It's PHP. Then you've got the likes of Laravel and Drupal which a lot of sites and systems are built upon . Both PHP.
When it comes to python, you only really hear about Django. So it feels a bit more limited at the moment in terms of opportunity.
That may just be my local market. Have a look to see what opportunities there are for you, and let that drive the decision
